FULL-SERVICE marketing agency Cartwright has marked a record financial year with a new name and refreshed brand, reflecting the ongoing evolution of its services.

The agency - which has offices in NottinghamLondon and Birmingham - racked up a 15% increase in turnover in the financial year to March 2025, driven by its growing portfolio of clients and services.

The growth has necessitated an updated look for the agency, with the business dropping ‘Communications’ from its title to better reflect its broader range of marketing services - while still retaining a link to the name originally created by agency founder and managing director Liz Cartwright.

Liz said: “Despite the UK economy continuing to see subdued, but positive growth, it’s the services sector that is top of the list in terms of resilience. As a services sector business, we are excited about another great year of expansion at Cartwright.

“It’s fair to say that the difficult economic backdrop affects many clients and we continue to provide them with consultative advice and support to create real business impact, meaning that they see Cartwright as an integral part of their operations.”

After nearly two decades as Cartwright Communications, the company felt the time was right to refresh its brand to better reflect the full range of services it offers as an agency - especially in light of its best year to date, she said.

Liz added: “Dropping ‘Communications’ from our name marks more than just a change in title - it reflects the scale, ambition and breadth of what Cartwright has become. We’re proud to be a full-service marketing agency with strong roots, a clear direction and a brilliant team driving us forward.”

The rebrand has been inspired by Cartwright’s people-centric approach, its array of PRdigital and marketing services, and its commitment to doing right by its clients and its team.

Rose Hayes, who spearheaded the rebrand as director of Cartwright, said: “This new brand encapsulates the journey we have been on to this point while better communicating the business we are today. As well as representing our breadth of services, it encapsulates our approach to colleagues and clients.

“The fact that we are launching this alongside our record results is testament to the evolution of the agency over recent years, ensuring that our look and feel reflects where we sit today as a leading, national full-service marketing agency.”

Key highlights of Cartwright’s bumper year included the development of its digital team following the appointment of head of digital Alex Jones in March 2024, significant client growth and delivering more than 400 hours of ESG support.

The agency works with prominent businesses such as global vision brand ZEISS, leading procurement framework managing agent Pagabo, wool bedding specialist Woolroom and workforce management solution provider MSite.

Cartwright’s work during the year resulted in a 95% satisfaction rate across its portfolio of clients, with Liz’s two decades of service to the built environment earning her the Outstanding Achievement Award at last September’s East Midlands Property Dinner.

The agency now boasts an almost 40-strong team of PR, digital, social media, brand and marketing experts. The company is Great Place to Work certified and was named as the 24th best small business in the UK for wellbeing.
