Approach

Having understood the challenges faced by SLR’s built environment team, Cartwright embarked on a targeted media relations and thought leadership-driven brand awareness campaign, aimed at increasing the visibility of the SLR brand. 

Alongside a comprehensive content plan that delivered a drumbeat of features around some of the sector’s key topics and challenges, the Cartwright team also created reactive content around key announcements such as the 2025 general election, the subsequent Autumn Statement and the National Planning Policy Framework.

The latter was supported by a roundtable to discuss the proposed changes to legislation, hosted by Cartwright’s Tom Snee .

Results

As a result of our work, SLR saw 25 features placed in the trade press in 2024, with 92% of those including backlinks to its built environment sector page. 

In addition, the NPPF roundtable generated a further six pieces of content, which formed the basis of the 2025 media relations plan.
